Bentota Beach is beautiful with soft white sand and clean sea. Ideal for Windsurfing and Sailing and equipment can be hired locally. Its best during the October to April holiday season, with safe swimming – There are some fine beachside hotels in Sri Lanka, which also have swimming pools, as well as guest houses to suit all budgets close to the carefully planned developed area. The Bentota Ganga and Lulu Ganga are rivers that make Bentota into a sort of peninsula. The rivers have water sports and boat rides for those interested.
Mirissa is a small town on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in the Matara District of the Southern Province. Arugam Bay is located 317 km (197 mi) from Colombo and contains a wide beach with several fishing villages nearby. It is located in the dry zone of Sri Lanka’s southeast coast. It has been identified as the best surfing beach in Sri Lanka and the fourth best in southeast Asia. Lahugal National Park and Yala East National Park are located within a 10–30 km radius from the Arugam Bay center. Tangalle is a regionally important fishing port, situated on one of the largest bays in Sri Lanka, which is protected from the ocean by an enclosing reef. Kalpitiya is a fishing village that is located on the western coast of Sri lanka 170 km (110 mi) .The beaches are remote and uncrowded The major activities are centered around the lagoon, the wind is suitable for kite surfing and windsurfing.
